I frequented this restaurant when I worked in Bukit Bintang and was 3 years we enjoyed the food immensely until we were told by a Muslim server there that the sweet sauce has pork oil in it. Considering that I am a Muslim, this was a great deal-breaker, and no, none of the other servers informed us prior to that even knowing that we are muslims. Otherwise, it is a great place with great, reasonably priced food.

Ichiban Boshi is a popular place for lunch and the restaurant in Publika tends to be packed. The decor and service are good, but the lunch food here is substandard compared to the other Japanese restaurants in the same mall. The chicken cutlet tastes dry, like it was microwaved just before serving. I haven't tried the sushi, hopefully it's better The price is ok and lots of Malays eat here so it's suitable for office groups

Excellent food. Superb service.

Went to eat here with my wife last weekend. This place is great! Wish we discovered them sooner. First, we took some sushi from the conveyor belt - one soft shell crab, one salmon, one tuna. All were better than average. My wife ordered a bowl of Ankake Soup and a Spicy Cereal Tori Karaage. Both were very tasty. I ordered an executive meal - the Don-don Wazen - which includes unagi with scrambled eggs on rice, spicy salmon on rice, assorted tempura, and a few sides. It's worth the...

It's worth the price, considering what you get. We shared this meal as the servings were quite large. Finally, we ordered a tempura ice cream for dessert. We had high hopes for this as everything else was so tasty but it truly let us down. After about 20 minutes of waiting for it to arrive, we were disappointed when we took our first bite. The ice cream was too hard and the tempura flour was still frozen. We couldn't eat it at all. Luckily, their staff was quick to notice this and offered to replace it with something else. Since we didn't have the time, we didn't want a replacement. They quickly apologised and took it out from the bill straight away without any fuss. Another good note about the staff is that they're always ready to top-up your ocha, without needing to call them, unlike some places we've been to. All in all, I highly recommend this place. Their menu is extensive so there's bound to be something for everyone. Will definitely pay them a visit again soon.

my favourite sushi place

i still remember visiting this place for the first time. i had a lengthy chat with the sushi chef. after ordering dozens of sushi, he quietly gave me an extra plate for free. they serve good food and they usually change their menus every 1/2 year.
