The food is prepared fresh from the kitchen with generous good fresh herbs. The Aglio Olio is one of the best Ive tasted. They used to have pumpkin pie, which was divinely but now they've changed menu and omitted the pie.
Fettuccine w Clams & Mussles is a lovely dish. the also have a Kids Menu and it nice.
Pasta here have always been a delight. Cooked al-dente, flavourful enough and value of money for their set lunch! Would recommend this restaurant if you are craving for some decent pasta that won't burn your wallet. :D *PS, they are having some promotions now~ including buy 1 free 1 spaghetti and selected pizza! ^^
Even though it gets a bit crowded during peak hours, it's still quite cozy to dine in and have a decent conversation here.

But not quite... This large Italian restaurant chain from Japan has been popular in Japan for decades now, and for good reason. They are one of the rare restaurants in Japan that serves large portions of food for a reasonable price that tastes authentic and good. I know, I know. Japanese Italian?? What? But trust me. I've been to Italy, and sometimes, the Japanese make better Italian food than the Italians. Just sometimes. But the point is, the Japanese love their Italian food, and they put a lot of effort into making it; and with Capricciosa's long history of making Italian food with millions of fans, they must be doing something right, ya? I had a rice croquette, which was my favorite when I used to go in Japan, and a eggplant with spinach tomato sauce fettucine. The croquette was, if my memory serves me right, 99% the same as Japan, which almost brought a happy tear to my eye. The sauce of the pasta was also very close to what I remember getting in Japan, although the pasta...well, the pasta just didn't quite do it for me. It was too soft, and almost felt a bit raw. The service was, well, not bad. I had expected...no, hoped that it would be close to the service in Japan (yeah, talk about wishful thinking), but the truth was far from it, although it was better than your average Malaysian restaurant. The food came out quite quickly, and the pricing was quite reasonable, with the lunch set being great value. If you've never tried Capricciosa and are a Italian pasta/pizza fan, I definitely recommend you give it a try.Hide
capricciosa has lunch set with a reasonable price. it's about 12rm. u also can ask special request for ur food. i asked spicy for my special meat sauce, and ya, they gv me quite yummy spicy spaghetti. for 12rm is not bad at all. set comes with bottomless drink and soup. good services and clean.
Lunch sets here are a good deal at 10+ bux for pasta, soup and free flow drinks. It's hard to go wrong with the pastas. They're not overcooked like you tend to find at a lot of Italian places in town. The kitchen is also open to reasonable special requests, like making it extra hot. Food came out fast when I was there. The wait staff are efficient, but need to pay more attention to when tables run out of utensils, and be quicker about clearing away empty plates.
Went there with my family and we had such good times. Love their Quattro Formagi Pizza. It's a mixture of four kinds of cheese!! Oohh you can imagine how creamy and rich the topping is.. Really, really good. How I wish I'd order for all their available kinds. Apart from that, we did order their Papperdelle with Porcini and Eningi Mushroom in Cream Sauce and Vanilla Ice Cream with Warm Blueberry Sauce as a dessert. They were amazing. The pasta is made fresh daily and trust me, you really can feel the difference. Tastier!
